Relaxation Response Meditation

By changing how use your gaze, you can invoke the relaxation response directly.

This is a ten-minute guided meditation recording that will guide you through invoking the relaxation response using the Mandria Map of Embodied Consciousness. It’s quick, easy and effective. It’s a fast cure for a stressed computer brain.

The gist of the meditation is to use softening of the eyes to invoke the relaxation response, combined with awareness of other body sites that further reinforce the relaxation response.

  1. This is an awesome meditation to prepare me for some of the more challenging emotional meditations on this site. Sometimes I feel like I struggle to get into a meditative state because I’m an eighth grade teacher and my work is never done. But prepping my body to be more relaxed allows me to go deeper in connecting to negative emotions in the other meditations.

    I think I’m going to start using this one when I get home from work.

    I think I’ll start making this a general preparation recommendation for people who find it difficult to settle into the more transformative guided meditations.
